Each game combines storytelling, puzzles, clues, and immersive scenarios that you and your partner solve together from the comfort of your home.

How does the game work?

After purchasing your chosen adventure, you will receive the digital game files instantly.

Each adventure contains a story, six puzzles, and a final challenge to unlock the ending.

Do I need to know the movie that inspired the game?

No. Each adventure is a completely original story inspired by the atmosphere and themes of cinema. You do not need to have seen any movie to enjoy the experience.

How many people can play?

Our games are designed first and foremost as date night experiences for couples, making them perfect for two players.

However, they can also be enjoyed with a small group of friends or family. Most adventures are suitable for 2–4 players, allowing everyone to work together to solve the puzzles and uncover the mystery.

How long does each game take?

Most adventures take approximately:

60–90 minutes

The exact duration depends on your puzzle-solving pace and how much time you spend enjoying the experience together.

Are the games suitable for beginners?

Each game has a different difficulty level, indicated to help you choose the adventure that best matches your preferences and experience.

However, the difficulty level is only a guide and should never stop you from trying. Whether it is your first escape game or you are already a puzzle enthusiast, every adventure is designed to be enjoyed at your own pace.

And if you need a little help along the way, each game includes hints to guide you through the challenges. The goal is not only to solve the puzzles, but to immerse yourself in the story and enjoy the experience together.

Is it printable?

Yes.

All games are designed to be printed at home.

You will receive high-quality digital files that you can print using a standard home printer.

For the best experience, we recommend printing in colour on standard A4 paper.

Do I need to prepare anything before playing?

Yes — but don’t worry! Every game includes a simple preparation guide with everything you need to set up your adventure.

For the best experience, we recommend preparing your space, setting the mood, and making the evening feel like your own cinematic adventure.

How much time does it take to prepare the game?

Preparation usually takes around 10–20 minutes, depending on the adventure. Simply print the files, cut out any required pieces, arrange the materials according to the preparation guide, and you’re ready to begin.

Can I replay the game?

Each adventure is designed to be experienced once, as discovering the clues and solving the puzzles is part of the magic.

However, you can replay the game with another couple, friends, or family members who have not experienced it yet.

Can we play more than one game?

Absolutely! Each adventure tells a completely different story with unique puzzles, characters, and cinematic worlds. If you enjoy one experience, you’ll discover a whole new adventure in the next.

Can I buy a game as a gift for my partner?

Absolutely.

3. Purchase & Download

What happens after purchase?

Once your payment is confirmed, you’ll receive an email containing your downloadable game files.

No physical product will be shipped. Simply download the files, print them whenever you’re ready, and begin your adventure.

How long is the download link available?

Your download files will remain available through your Once Upon A Date account after purchase.

We recommend downloading and saving your files after receiving your email.

Can I print the game more than once?

Yes. You may reprint your game files for your own personal use if needed. However, your purchase is intended for personal use only and the files may not be shared, redistributed, or resold.

4. Technical Questions

What format will I receive the game in?

You will receive your adventure as downloadable PDF files, ready to print at home.

Do I need internet access to play?

You will need internet access to purchase and download your game files.

Once printed, most of the experience can be enjoyed offline. However, some elements, such as hints, solutions, or final code verification accessed through QR codes, require an internet connection.

We recommend having a smartphone available during the game to scan QR codes and access these additional features when needed.

What if I have problems downloading my game?

Can I get a refund after purchasing?
